WWE Fantasy Power Rankings (April 2019 Week 3)

SethRollins.png

#1 Seth Rollins

The Beastslayer still sits atop the power rankings this week. As a part of the 6-man tag main event on Monday Night Raw, the Universal Champion is holding steady. With this week focusing on The Shield's farewell match on Sunday night, it’s still unclear who will be challenging Rollins next.

#2 Kofi Kingston

Kofi still holds the WWE Championship and remains on the blue brand. With Big E out with an injury, Kofi teamed with fellow New Day member Xavier Woods and honorary New Day member Kevin Owens for a victory in the 6-man tag main event of Smackdown this week. Kofi, like Rollins, remains without a #1 contender for his title.

#3 “The Man” Becky Lynch

The Man was able to defeat Ruby Riott on Monday Night Raw but was absent from Smackdown Live the following night. Becky Two Belts overcame the odds at Wrestlemania, but has she lost some of her swagger? A double champion should be appearing double as much.

#4 Roman Reigns

The Big Dog debuted in a big way on Smackdown Live. He speared Elias and Superman punched the chairman to end the show on Tuesday night. Though he hasn’t been in the hunt for any championships recently, it’s clear there are big things in store for Reigns. Will his next main event run be met with the same contempt as the first?

#5 Andrade

The Mexican sensation that is Andrade jumped straight into the top 5 of the rankings. Andrade may have dropped two names but he has gained a ton of momentum. Following a lackluster couple of weeks, Andrade debuted on Monday Night Raw in a huge way picking up a win over Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor.

#6 The Miz

After being drafted to Monday Night Raw, Miz came out swinging- at Shane McMahon specifically. Even though they beat the hell out of each other at Wrestlemania, the feud between The A Lister and Mr. McMahons Baby Boy doesn’t seem to be over yet. Based on their Wrestlemania match, these two should be capable of some more classics.

#7 Sami Zayn

Though he has only wrestled on television once since his return two weeks ago, Sami Zayn has momentum and a great character on his side. Though he did not win his match again Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor on the Raw after Wrestlemania, Sami Zayn’s recent promos have been stealing the shows left and right, and fairly often it’s the mic skills that make the good wrestlers great.

#8 Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon is still riding the high of defeating the Miz at Wrestlemania, and his confidence was on display as he and Stephanie kicked off The Superstar Shakeup on Monday. Shane received a beatdown by The Miz for his troubles. Will these two continue at the Saudi Arabia PPV?

#9 Kairi Sane and Asuka

Paige’s new tag team debuted in a big way on Smackdown Live Tuesday teaming with Ember Moon and Bayley to defeat The Iiconics and Fire and Desire. It’s clear Asuka and Kairi Sane are next in line for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

#10 Lacey Evans

The Sassy Southern Belle has been gunning for Becky Lynch recently, and it was made official on Monday that the two will be meeting one on one soon. Defeating Natalya for #1 contendership for Becky for a Raw Women’s Championship match. Will there also be a seperate Smackdown Women’s Championship match?

#11 AJ Styles

The Phenomenal One teamed up with the remaining two thirds of The Shield in the 6-man tag team main event on Monday Night Raw. After a week off to recuperate after Wrestlemania, AJ was ready to pick up right where he left off- running the place.

#12 The Usos

The top tag team on Smackdown are now on Raw. The former Smackdown Live Tag Team Champions picked up a win over former Raw Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Chad Gable in their Raw debut. Can the maintain this momentum and dethrone the Raw Tag Team Champions Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder? It’s more likely than not.

#13 Finn Balor

After a defeat on Monday Night Raw to a debuting Andrade, Finn Balor reversed his fortune with a win over Ali on smackdown. Balor was caught up in the muddled mess that was the Raw mid-card for quite a bit a time. Perhaps this new move can help Balor redirect and gain credibility as a show stealer and main event player once again eventually.

#14 Kevin Owens

Remaining on Smackdown, Kevin Owens teamed with the remaining two thirds of The New Day to defeat Cesaro, Rusev, and Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event of Smackdown. Owens was left off Wrestlemania, but now he finds himself right where he wants to be- in the main event. Can he keep it up?

#15 The Viking Experience

A new name, but the same raw (no pun intended) power. Erik and Ivor were a big reason their team won in the 8-man tag team match that helped star Monday Night Raw. Pinning Zack Ryder in spectacular fashion, the current NXT Tag Team Champions are no doubt the next in line for a Raw Tag Team Championship match.

#16 Lars Sullivan

While it is still not clear what brand Lars Sullivan will be on permanently, the vicious attacks of The Freak are enough to keep him on the rankings. Sullivan attacked Rey Mysterio on Raw and R-Truth on Smackdown. While it is terrifying that Sullivan could attack anyone at any time, but it is boring to know that this will go on for months before something happens. We’re looking at you, Lacey Evans.

#17 Charlotte

The Queen didn’t take long to get her swagger back after losing her Smackdown Women’s Title at Wrestlemania. She handed Carmella a defeart on Smackdown. Is this the beginning of Charlotte’s quest to get revenge on Becky?

#18 Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin is still in the mid-card mess that is the majority of Monday Night Raw. Though he defeated Kurt Angle in Angle’s retirement match at Wrestlemania, Corbin still lacks what it takes to be a threat on Raw.

#19 Drew McIntyre

The Scottish Psychopath came up on the losing end of the 6-man tag team main event of Monday Night Raw. Drew has been causing havoc the last few months on Raw, but much like his cohorts Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin, they lack consistency.

#20 Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman is back to crushing his opponents in spectacular fashion before the matches even start. This week Braun Strowman decimated EC3 on Monday Night Raw. Yes, that is more impressive that destroying enhancement talent, but at this point EC3 is little more than enhancement talent. Strowman looks very strong as always, but he lacks direction.
